The Painful Submission That Started It All
Like a lot of collectors, our story starts with a mistake. I sent in 20 Pokemon cards to PSA, confident, excited, ready to see those 10s come back. Instead, 18 came back PSA 9 and only 2 came back PSA 10. The submission fees stung. The results stung more.
That experience lit a fire. Instead of walking away, I dove into studying grading standards, learning what PSA, BGS, and TAG actually look for, understanding centering ratios, surface conditions, corner wear, edge quality. I became obsessed with the details that separate a 9 from a 10.
I have been avid Pokemon collectors for years and more recently fell in love with One Piece TCG starting with OP10 and still actively collecting today. Two games, two passionate communities, and a deep understanding of what makes a card grade-worthy in both markets.
That's Not A 10 LLC was built so other collectors don't have to learn the hard way. We give you the honest read before you spend the money. We clean, prep, and restore your cards to give them the best possible shot at the grade they deserve.
